I was wondering if the tailor could also sell dye's. I noticed that they are sold in Murann by the Mindflayer I believe but only in black. The dye's aren't that important cause you can already change the color's but you can't change helmet's color. Just a thought, cause my pally is running around in gold armor with a black and red helm ( He's back to gold thanks to another lucky draw from a deck of hazards ;D ) and I think the dye's could help customize how the character's want to look. Just a thought.

you can change the helmet style at the blacksmith and the color by purchasing a paint can from the general store.

As Xaos said, we use the Paint Box item instead of the dyes. The one item lets you colour all parts of your clothing and helmet any colour you like (that is available that is). The dyes shouldn't really be in any store, and will be removed when we can get around to it.
The Paint Box item is a potion-sized jar of blue liquid (IIRC) that sits in the last pane of stores. At the moment I think the only two places you can buy one are at Ms Grileys General Store (North Mosstone), and Andrik's Leather Goods (South Mosstone), but don't quote me on that.
To use the item just activate its unique power and target the item you want recoloured. This will present you with a container with 6 copies of the item in it, with different parts showing in white for each copy. The white bits are the parts that will be recoloured. Unfortunately it is not always clear due to icons not always showing all parts, but in most cases it works well. So just remove the copy of the item with the bits you want recoloured in white. This will then open the second stage of the process, which now creates one copy of the item for each colour you can choose (should be 63 or so, so check all the panes). Again, just remove the one that is the colour you want to get your repainted item. You can do this however many times you want, so feel free to experiment.
I also added two other items last week that people might find useful...
A Potion Container is a box that holds unidentified potions for you. So basically whenever you pick up one of the standard unidentified potions it is destroyed and a counter is incremented on this item. Then when you go to a sorting table it recreates all the potions on the table and clears the counters. This helps to keep your inventory a bit emptier for other items, rather than filling up with potions, and was my solution to the problem of unidentified potions not stacking. Note that the container weighs 5.5 lbs, but you can put it in magic bags to reduce the effective weight and it will still work (but not in a Planar Pocket).
The Trap Container is exactly the same thing but for unidentified traps.
You can find these in a few places, but again Ms Grileys General Store should have them both.

ahh, I was confused how the paint box worked. Cause I thought the white parts were the parts that were going to colored in WITH white. Unfortunately I didnt want white so I never got to finish using the item. I will give it a try now that I know how it works.
