Hello everyone. It is an honor to be asked to bring this guild to your server by none other than Nightmare. We are an official bioware / nwn guild that has guilds on other servers. We only choose servers that are well ran and created. Our goal is to provide an alternate guild from what you are use to. Each server has a General that leads the guild and each division has a commander and the guild garrison has a captain. All 7 division may not be needed here , but only time will tell.
I also believe in filling the new guild from within the current server. It does us no good if I was to ask current guild members from other servers to come and join guild here also. Please keep in mind however that some current members may drop by and visit and I will surely be here each week once we get set up.
To be this servers General you must be willing to lead this guild and attend and report your progress each month during our monthly guild meeting , which is held on the original guild home server.
Also all Free Born members you accept must do 2 very important thing.
1. They must register on bioware and join the guild there.
2. All Free born are tagged as follows - { Free Born }. The generals will add ' general of the Shattered Souls Server. Commander may add their division to the name.
I will post the guilds original history , the honor code, and the 7 divisions make-up.
Please keep in mind that minor changes or adjustments may be needed in order to fit into this servers world.

*raises a hand* Though guilds are, for the most part, out of my jurisdiction, I think it would be nice if you could repost the history and divisions of The Society of the Free Born into this thread. It'd make everything a little more organized, with the forum being less cluttered and the information about the guild all being in one place (the way it is now, there is a chance of the three threads being separated by people posting in other threads and not in one or more of the Free Born threads.)

Good point Sammi. I will be combining the 3 Society posts into this one. No offense meant to anybody. The following is originally posted by Sir Truman: *********************************************************** Bioware guild link: nwn.bioware.com/guilds_registry/viewguild.html?gid=10209THE WANDERER’S: (formerly Knights of the Juggernauts) It is the Wanderer’s duty to scout out new lands and seek out the evil that inhabited the newly discovered sections. Detailed reports of all findings should be posted on the Free Born guild forum section so all may benefit. Every Wanderer should know how to get to any area on Shattered Souls. In a Free Born war party, a Seeker is invaluable to act as a scout, provide directions as well as tactical advice on the denizens that will be encountered. THE ENLIGHTENED: (formerly Avengers) Home to the divine arcane of the Free Born. Spellcasters of all types are welcome here, from druid to palemaster. Even fringe practitioners, such as Bards are welcome. We are the keepers of knowledge, scribes, and alchemist for the guild. Every Free Born war party would benefit by having at least one of the Enlightened in its ranks. Special Requirements: Character’s highest level must be in bard, cleric, druid, palemaster, sorcerer, or wizard. THE VIOLATOR’S: The Violators are the best of the best at dealing damage and taking or avoiding it. Weapon Masters, Dwarven Defenders, Monks, Fighters, and Barbarians are all well suited for this division. They are usually the best armed and armored of the Free Born and can deal with any combat situation. They are the tanks of any Free Born war party and are a must if you want to survive. RED KNIGHTS: (Formerly Seekers) The Red Knights are made up entirely of Red Dragon Disciples and are the guardians of the guild. They are responsible for the security of the guild, the guild leader, and division commanders. Their increased attributes make them well suited for any situation. They add combat and scouting support to a Free Born War Party. Special Requirements: Red Dragon Disciples only. THE CRYPT’S: These members are the experts on all undead, demons, devils, evil clerics, evil palemasters, anything dealing with the afterlife. Even in a good society, certain acts must be performed for the good of all. Sometimes the best way to combat evil is with evil. The Crypts are evil members reformed and use their specialized knowledge to further the Free Born cause. They do all the dirty work for the guild by retaining their evil ways and use that to aid the Free Born in a good way. Their knowledge in this field is valuable to any Free Born War Party. Special Requirements: Evil alignment THE REAPER’S: The Reapers are the living embodiment and protectors of the Free Born code, the heart and soul of our guild. They are ever vigilant looking for code violations and work with division commanders and the guild leader on the appropriate punishment or penance. They are to be an example of how all Free Born are to conduct themselves. In order to live up to the utmost requirements of the Free Born code, the Reapers are masters of combat and providers of spiritual guidance. A Free Born War Party suffers when an Reaper doesn’t accompany it. Special Requirements: Strict adherence to the Free Born code. THE VARANGIAN GUARD: The Varangian Guard, is a Northern tribe that has emigrated down south in search for land and a future. In doing so, they encountered much evil, but also a powerful ally, the Free Born. The Varangian Guard lived a harsh life in the cold north with numerous dangerous creatures. Because of this, the way of the warrior has always made a strong presence in their culture. This way of living has made them in to the perfect mercenary. The Hird fights anyone or anything for money, Except the Free Born. Special Requirements: Admission to this division is by special invitation only. The Garrison: Players that wish to move from the Garrison into an Elite Division, must petition the Division Commander.

The History of the Free Born
In the year 352, Jalak the Mercenary decided to establish his own kingdom within the realm of Neverwinter. Jalak wanted to be a King and saw the only system of achieving that goal was to acquire land by force and install himself as ruler.
Jalak used the Western Island of Eben’s Pit as his base of operation, and started recruiting mercenaries from all over the surrounding lands. In return for their mercenary services, Jalak promised his soldiers any loot they could find along the way of establishing his new kingdom. He promised noble titles and plots of land to his loyal commanders. Jalak conducted many guerrilla-type raids all over the Western shores of Neverwinter, and was quite successful in his preliminary drive for power. Jalak forces continued to strengthen, and his forces carried his banner as far North as the Eveningstar Mountains, East past Wyvern Lake to the vast swamplands. Capturing every city within his path. The ones he found non-worthy of his cause where destroyed. These raids continued East to the rich and fertile farmlands of Tanis and Southeast towards Zarn’s Gap.
Jalak’s troops, though mercenaries, performed well enough to capture a considerable portion of land and cause suffering in the towns they occupied. The troops also took Jalak at his word and looted everything they could lay their hands on, leaving many of the towns and farms in ruins and many people dead. This exhausted the towns they sacked, rendering then useless as points of supply for further troop operations. Jalak’s troops struck suddenly and moved quickly, meaning Jalak was able to capture as much territory as he did because he was able to react more quickly than any town’s resident forces could.
However, this meant that word was spreading all over the lands of Neverwinter. Retaliation would come in a massive wave, once the remaining kingdoms united into one sizable group, conducting themselves as a solitary massive unit. With much of the Western part of Neverwinter already occupied by this tyrant aggressor, there was considerable difficulty in assembling enough troops to challenge Jalak on the field of battle.
For reason know only to Jalak, he decided that with the occupation of the great Eastern city of Restenford, that this is where he would establish his throne. All further advancement suddenly placed on hold, while new Laws of Government were established.
The remaining kingdoms’ scouts quickly reported this sudden stop. They decided this was the right time to mount a counter-attack against the aggressors. During the organization of troops from all remaining kingdoms, the military commanders noticed that a small number of vigilanties numbering around 100 members had joined their cause. Spugnoir the Wise, a wizard of great and respected power was their leader, he explained that he formed this group of freelance justice seekers, who proudly named themselves The Society of the Free Born, would gladly offer their services to the kingdoms of Neverwinter.
He assisted the military commanders with a strategy to stop the aggressors for the last time. Spugnoir reported that his elite group of scouts named the Seekers, brought back valuable information regarding the lack of food and that disgruntle mercenaries were eager to move on or leave for better times.
As the remaining Neverwinter forces moved in to surround the city, very little resistance was found. It seemed that Jalak thought no forces were left to stop him. In addition, there were whispers going on in the camps of the Neverwinter forces that all 100 members of The Free Born had simply disappeared. The Neverwinter commanders had no answer for this. The plan however, still implemented at light with the fog blowing into the city. As the troops moved in to position, Spugnoir and the Free Born suddenly appeared and before the city watch new what hit them the main gate was down and the battle began.
Spugnoir and his division of Free Born known as the Violators swept their way towards the Castle. Having only 20 men at his side. Spugnoir was able to breech the Castle defenses, and enters the main assembly area. Jalak and his best men and bodyguards met them, outnumbering Spugnoir’s Free Born by 300. The battle was extremely intense, as Jalak and Spugnoir fought for hours, ignoring everyone else around them; in fact, it appeared as if they both were inside some kind of force field.
Outside the Castle, the battle was also severe, but as the Neverwinter forces, along with the rest of the Free Born made ground, more and more mercenaries abandoned the cause. Even with a absolute force of strength in numbers being superior. When the battle ended, the Neverwinter forces had only 335 men left from the army of 17,000 and the Free Born, who were at the front of the battle, only the powerful Dwarven fighter Banthor remained.
In the assembly hall, things were about the same, as the dust began to settle and the Neverwinter commanders entered the Hall they saw the Fighter / Bard Samphor Bliker kneeling down in tears as he held Spugnoir in his arms. By his side was the Cleric Ortho, and he was removing what seemed to be a Heart from the right clinched hand of Spugnoir.
This day only three Society of the Free Born remained, and they vowed to never let the Society be forgotten or their deeds abandoned. They were each presented positions by Kings within the kingdoms of Neverwinter, but each respectfully declined and only requested that The Society of the Free Born be permitted to set up guild houses in the lands.
Now a new cause has summoned The Society of the Free Born. Some 2000 years later, while exploring the lands of Eternal Destiny, The Free Born member Sir Truman discovered many evils in the land. Upon reporting to the Guild house, he is granted command of the Wanderer’s division and the authority to establish a new guild in the territory
Therefore, the next quest begins are you ready to join the Guild of The Society of the Free Born
Psychology and Society
Honor, Family, Strength. Without these, we would be useless. Honor informs our lives and gives structure to our Society. It enables us to resist chaos and enslavement Family teaches us the virtues, the ideals that make us Free Born. It sharpens our loyalty and dedication for just cause. Finally, strength is that which we triumph. It is the raw power of life. Individually, each of these ideals is valuable – but not strong enough. We forge them together… and when this is done, we are well nigh unbeatable.
The Society of the Free Born Honor Code
Right makes might.
To be cowardly is wrong.
Anything that is just and serves the Guild is right.
Honor is everything in life.
To be lacking honor is to be lacking life.
Family and Free Born before self, the individual means naught next to these two.
It is disgraceful to kill another Free Born member.
A Free Born’s word is his bond. Once given, never broken. Any who do so are to be publicly dishonored.
Do not rest until all transgressors are destroyed.
Accept all responsibilities for your actions.

Fellow Free Born, I had a little trouble getting all the hak paks for this world. To make things easier here is a direct bioware link. You should try to enter game first and let it tell you which of these hak's you still need, if any. nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=hakpaks.Detail&id=5813

Well it took some time , but we finally have a player that is ready to be the General of the guild here. It will still take time for the guild to grow and we are recruiting from the active player base.
