Don't wanna sound like a newb ( though I am ) but I have some questions concerning the runes found in the PW. Q#1: Is there a limit to the number of runes you can have in a single item?
Q#2: Does adding runes to a weapon increase the level requirement at which you can use it?
Q#3: Are you able to break the item down to get runes back?
Thats about it, just throwing this question out there to anyone who might know it.

Q#1: Is there a limit to the number of runes you can have in a single item? No there is not. Yes it does. Before you actually go through with choosing to add the rune/enchanted gem power to an item be sure to read the convo. The new Level Requirement will be displayed in red type. What level the new requirement become is dependant upon the strength of the ability you are adding. To tell you the truth, I don't know about this one, though I don't think so. There is a rune type item that will Disenchant (ie. strip a power off an item) but I'm not sure if it actually gives you a gem/rune with said power. Ima can answer this for sure.

There is no way of really tracking which properties come from runes versus innate ones. So if I allowed you to "recover" runes you will also be able to make runes out of innate properties. I have contemplated allowing players to do this, but I'm a little worried that it is open to too much abuse. However, if limited in some way it might not be too bad. Also in the hopefully not too-distant future wizards (at least) will be able to craft runes of their own.
As for the disenchanting talisman...
That item currently lets you strip most positive properties off of any other item (but not many negative ones). It doesn't give you a rune in return, and the property is basically lost. It is intended to allow you to remove some properties you don't care about from an item to reduce its ILR level. For example I used it on a holy avenger to strip everything but the holy avenger property itself, so I could use the item immediately. Last week I also used two of them for a friend to remove a light property and a spell resistence property (PC was a drow and already had this) from a ring, leaving just the arcane casting skill +15 property and allowing them to use it next level.
