Here is the Main Palace water bridge: Here is an alley full of shops:

The bridge looks good from that angle. As a thought, you could try putting some statues on top of the pylons and add the waterfall placeable from their "mouths", so that the water falls into the river. Could add a bit of uniqueness. Just an idea. As for the alley... Have you thought about adding the awnings and merchant signs to the shops? For a bit of "colour". Also, aren't roads supposed to be for carts and such to move down You might want to push the streetlights to the curb. As a quick note, I would suggest everyone familiarize themselves with the placeables that are now available with the CEP. You can use these to really spruce up an area and give it a touch of uniqueness. Don't worry too much about using them, unless you go way overboard it shouldn't have much impact on performance (though do try not to put walkmesh enabled placeables in thoroughfares). And at any rate, it is better to have a small number of really gorgeous areas than a large number of boring grey areas. If I can remember I will try to post some screenshots tomorrow to give you an idea of what I mean.

hows that for the bridge? better? I went through all of the statues and none of them looked right with the waterfall effect so I finally used the dragon statue form the basic set and it looked pretty cool. Also added a few extra touches.

hehe. Not quite what I had in mind, but I'm sure you can play around with it. If that is a single waterfall placeable then it might be worthwhile making a narrower one (or one that eminates from a point). I guess we also need a "spray" placeable to put at the bottom. Not so sure about the fountains in the water. They kinda look like floating tires to me

haha...well I tried. The waterfall placeable is not very good. It is always the same width and like you said, it dissapears on the way down with no 'splash/spray' animation. It looked funny on most of the CEP statues, as they weren't big enough.
as for the fountains...now that you mention it, they DO look like floating tires...It looked good in the toolset I swear! I have found that a lot of the CEP placeables are buggy and they don't tend to mix well with some of the other placeables. I think I will stick to getting the important stuff (NPCs, Quests, etc.) done first before I go messing around again with fancying up the area.
