Well, we are a few days behind schedule on this current update, but it should be done very soon. For this next update we have upgraded to the CEP 1.52. Click here for the CEP download page, most of you will want the 1.52 patch - 4th down on the list there, approx. 28mb in size. Players, there is a new ss_base hak that you will need to get that is now available on our NWVault downloads page. Click here for our hak download page. DMs/Builders, there is a new ss_base hak for you as well located in the usual place (not NWVault) for download. Very soon there will also be a new ss.tlk to go along with it. EDIT by Knightmare: ss.tlk for builders/DMs now available on FS.

The updated mod is now available for play on the server (barring some small technical difficulties). This is our largest update so far. Here's a list of most of the changes:
1) Set the bleed threshold to 1/4 max hp instead of 1/2.
2) Make Raise Dead return the creature at just over 1/4 max hp.
3) Link the rest delay into the players difficulty setting. The higher the difficulty the longer the rest delay.
4) Updates to some previously existing areas and static quests.
5) A bunch of brand new static quests.
6) About 70 new explorable areas, including a peek at the goblinoid run city of Murann.
7) A sample of the Long Distance Travel System and Dynamic Interior System.
Ima - feel free to add in any other things you updated if you want.

You have my approval wee! new stuff to do although my char still hasn't gotten to talltrees by himself without hiding :/, don't know whether he'll get into murann. This I have been wanting to see for quite a while Very excited for my next playing on the mod. Planning to finish whatever I owe to the server by the next time we update.

Alright, off the top of my head, and in no particular order:
1) Changed the number of spells-per-day for sorcerers. It's now a lot more.
2) Added Red Dragon Disciple like powers to the sorcerer as they level up. The exact powers will soon depend on the type of blood you have, but for now they are always the same.
3) Enabled the binding system. After a server restart you will hopefully restart in the last "town" you visited. Also, there are now multiple respawn points, depending on where you last bound to. Note that binding is automatic.
4) Scaled treasure generation based on party size. If you are travelling solo you can expect to get less gold than before.
5) Added level ranges for some areas (mostly the Hack'n'Slash dungeon). If you are outside this range you will be "clipped" to the nearest extreme and treated as that level for the creature spawn and treasure generation systems. So basically those areas will only scale as long as you are around the expected level.
6) Added some bard-song items (currently only in Ms Grileys general store in Mosstone). These should be considered as a beta version, as the whole system still needs testing and balancing. Still, at least the bard song feat and perform skill can now be used.
7) Added a "paint box" item to a few stores in Mosstone (Ms Grileys and Andrik's Leather goods IIRC). This item will let you recolour helmets and armour (mostly intended for helmets, as you can now use the tailor's shop for your armour).
8) Added a tailor's shop to south Mosstone (straight ahead from the south gate, in the middle of the road). Use this area to fully customize your clothing.

Actually there are currently two versions of the long distance travel in the module. I decided to start again from scratch on this just recently, in order to offer a lot more power to DMs (who should check out the "TETHYR ZONE" area for a preview). However, the new version currently only supports the basic travelling itself, not all the other things (like random encounters). That will be added back in soon.
So don't expect very much at the moment. Although having said that, there is at least one region (outside Murann) that uses the older version and has random encounters (so be careful).

Thanks for the update. I was about to ask about the travel system. In your last post you kind of answered my questions Ima. From what I have seen in this post, I think I will be busy with getting my game all squared away and checking out the tailor shop. Looks good guys! I will try and update with the latest haks and CEP updates and what is being done with the PW. Have fun this weekend (thank you to the hockey gods that it's back!!!!!!)
